Blockprints

Hand blockprinting has a rich history dating back to the 5th century with its roots in India, China and Japan. Traditionally blockprinting is seen with cotton fabrics. At Shava Creation we have reimagined traditional blockprints into intricate designs and developed procedures suited for fine cashmere and silks. Our shawls are processed with handcrafted blocks made of wood or copper. Each of our cashmere or silk blockprint shawls are a unique piece with only a single piece created.
